Here is the work of week #8. First mine. And then 3 mosaics with group works....;-))
Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes....you really made my day! Especially since I had to spent it in bed, nursing a bad migraine...;-(( Not what I had planed for my birthday!

Hier kommen die Arbeiten von der 8. Woche. Erst meine Ohrringe und dann die Mosaiken von der Gruppe.
Vielen Dank Euch allen für die vielen lieben Geburtstagswünsche! Ich habt meinen Tag gerettet! Vor allem weil ich den Tag im Bett mit einer scheußlichen Migräne verbracht habe. So hatte ich mir meinen Geburtstag jeden falls nicht vorgestellt!

Exited and thankful!

 Friday was a really exiting day for me: going to a TV studio and doing a live Polymer Clay demo is not on my list every day! But everything went very well and the people at the SWR Studios where just wunderful! Of course I was nervous as hell and it showed in the begining, but fortunatelly I relaxed quite quickly and the rest of the take went very smooth. I got lots of coments on my apperance, which made me more than happy and I can´t thank you all enought for them!!! You all made my hear jump, to say the least!!!
Freitag war ein wirklich aufregender Tag für mich: ins Fernsehstudio zu gehen und eine live Polymer Clay Vorführung zu machen steht schließlich nicht jeden Tag auf meiner Liste!  Aber alles hat super geklappt und die Leute vom SWR waren einfach nur super!!! Natürlich war ich unglaublich nervös und man konnte es am Anfang auch sehen, aber glücklicherweise hab ich mich doch sehr schnell beruhigt und die restliche Aufnahme ging wie geschmiert. Ich habe ziemlich viele Kommentare zu meinem Auftritt bekommen, was mich natürlich riesig gefreut hat und ich kann mich gar nicht genug bei Euch dafür bedanken! Ihr habt mein Herz zum Hüpfen gebracht um es mal vorsichtig aus zu drücken!!!

After the show I drove home and finally reallized how the tension disappeared. I had not noticed it before, only after, and I kind of collapsed. There have been so many things going on lately and this was the last thing on my long list. It was just a bit more than enough. I had to take a break and so I did! The weekend was filled with a lot of doing nothing and I enjoyed it so much! But today is Monday, a new week and new things waiting for me, but it is so much better to face everything after a relaxing weekend!
Nach der Sendung bin ich nach Hause gefahren und hab schleißlich gemerkt, wie die Spannung endlich nachgelassen hat. Ich hatte es vorher gar nicht so richtig gemerkt, erst als es schon vorbei war und dann hatte ich einen Art kleinen Kollaps. In letzter Zeit war einfach so unglaublich viel los und dieser Auftritt war der letzte Punkt auf einer langen Liste. Es war einfach ein bisschen mehr als zu viel. Ich mußte unbedingt eine Pause einlegen, und das hab ich dann auch getan! Das Wochenende wurde von viel Nichts-Tun geprägt und das war gut so! Heute ist wieder Montag und eine neue Woche begint, aber es ist so viel besser der Woche nach einem erholsamen Wochenende entgegen zu schauen!

 .... markets that is. The "T-Shirt Kunst und Kinkerlitzchen" #7 market was a huge success in my books! We all had a blast, the location was nice and I meet lots of new terrific people! The visitors seamed to enjoy watching me working on my stamps and some found a new home, too! The event had a wonderful vibe and my fellow sellers and first of all the organizers did a wonderful job!!!
Einer ist fertig, und der nächste schon um die Ecke...
Markt natürlich! Der "T-Shirt Kunst und Kinkerlitzchen" #7 Markt war einfach nur Klasse und für mich auf jeden Fall ein voller Erfolg! Wir hatten alle einen riesen Spaß, das Cafe NUN ist super und ich habe jede Menge toller neuer Leute getroffen! Die Besucher schienen ihren Spaß daran zu haben, mir beim Stempelschnitzen zu zu sehen, und einige meiner kleinen Lieblinge haben ein neues zu Hause gefunden! Auf dem Event war eine tolle Stimmung und meine Mitverkäufer und vor allem auch die Organisatoren haben einfach einen super Job gemacht!

Sunday I needed some rest, but I cant rest to long! The next market is just a round the corner! Next Saturday I will be at the "Kulturmarkt" of the Kavangarde Festival. The festival is on three days, but the market is only on Saturday. If you are anywhere near, I would love to see you at the market! This time I will take my stamps again, but also my jewellry and other things from the studio, that would like to find a new home...;-))
Sonntag hab ich dann echt ne Pause gebraucht, aber lang kann ich gar nicht pausieren! Denn der nächste Markt steht schon vor der Tür: am Samstag auf dem "Kulturmarkt" auf dem Kavangarde Festival. Das Festival geht drei Tage lang, aber das Markt findet nur am Samstag nachmittags statt. Wenn Ihr irgendwo in der Nähe seit, würde ich mich freuen, wenn Ihr vorbei kommt! Diesmal werde ich wieder meine Stempel mitnehmen, aber auch meinen Schmuck und andere Dinge, aus meinem Studio, die gerne ein neues Heim finden würden....;-))

....nightmare in Japan!!!

I can not think about anything else but Fukushima right now.....its a nightmare come true!!!
Yesterday was the first time I have been to a protest march in a long long time. But it will not be the last time. We need to show what we think and let the people in charge know, that we will not tolerate any longer them messing around with nuklear power!
Ich kann an gar nichts anderes als an Fukushima denken! Es ist ein Alptraum, der Wirklichkeit geworden ist!!! Gestern war ich das erste mal seit ewigen Zeiten wieder bei einer Kundgebung. Aber es wird nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Wir müßen denjenigen, die an den Hebel sitzen zeigen, das wir es nicht mehr länger ertragen werden, wie sie mit der Atomkraft herumspielen!

....I really enjoyed my weekend, hope you did, too!
On Saturday I went to the fleamarket all by myself. I had been a long time, since I have done this and I really enjoyed it. Plus I found some nice things, and some things I really needed. But the best thing was a big surprise in the evening. I had put all my finds on my sofa and did not have the time to take a closer look until the evening. One of the things I bought, was a little travel sewing kit. It was packed full of stuff and noone had opened it for a long time, I am sure. But I did now and I found a piece of paper that was tucked away under some small buttons. This piece of paper turned out to be a bank note of old German money. The former owner must have keept her money for bad times hidden in there. It is quite a bit of money and I am going to get it changed into Euros soon. I was complettly blown away. You always hear this kind of stories, but you never expect them to happen to yourself....!!! So my visit at the fleamarket turned out to be a real treasure hunt...;-)) Am I luck or what?
Ich habe mein Wochenende wirklich genossen, und ich hoffe Ihr hattet auch ein großartiges Wochenende! Samstags war ich endlich mal wieder auf dem Flohmarkt. Ich war schon seit ewigen Zeiten nicht mehr dort gewesen und hatte so richig Lust dazu. Ich bin alleine hingegangen und hatte so richtig Zeit zum Stöbern, habe einige sehr nette Dinge gefunden und einige, die ich wirklich brauche. Aber das aller Beste war eine Überraschung am Abend. Ich bin erst abends dazu gekommen, meine Schätze wirklich zu begutachten. Einer meiner Schätze ist ein kleines Reise-Nähset in einem kleinen Etuis. Es ist bis an den Rand vollgestopf mit Nähzubehör und wurde sicher schon eine ganze Weile von niemanden mehr geöffnet. Aber ich habs aufgemacht und genau unter die Lupe genommen, weil ich ja schließlich wissen wollte was drin ist....und was finde ich da, ganz hinten unter den Köpfen versteckt? Ein Stück Papier, das sich bei näherem Ansehen als DM-Schein entpuppt!!! Da hat die Vorbesitzerin wohl Ihren Notgroschen versteckt! Wobei das ein ganz schön großer "Groschen" ist!! Kein Vermögen aber schon richtig Geld, und für mich auf jeden Fall ein Schatz!! Ich kanns noch kaum glauben, das mir sowas passiert! Man hört ja immer mal wieder von so Geschichten, aber das mir selbst sowas passiert, das hätte ich nie gedacht! Bin ich nicht ein Glückspilz?

Yesterday we went hicking to the Pfälzer Wald. The leaves are so colorfull and the weather was so nice...a beautiful autumn day! We went up one tower and from the top the view was marvelous ... look at those leaves!!! I love it!
Gestern waren wir im Pfälzer Wald wandern. Die Blätter sind grade so wunderbar gefärbt und die Sonne schien so schön... ein wunderbarer Herbsttag! Wir waren auf einem Aussichtsturm und von oben hatte man einen genialen Ausblick .. schaut Euch mal diese wunderbaren Blätterfarben an! Ich liebe es!!

open that door, PLEASE!

when ever I have a look at my blog I am really amazed by the crazy amount of visitors on my counter. To tell you the truth: I don´t trust it! Why you ask??? Well that´s easy: how can it be true and I still don´t notice anything (well better: not much!) of all the visitors here??? Why are there only so few comments? Why is noone getting in touch??? I really don´t know! A friend of mine told me: you know you are writing a mix up or English and german, I never know in which language I should comment on your blog! Is that the problem? Well to tell you the truth: I am happy about EVERY SINGLE comment, no matter in what language it is! What I am trying to say is: Please open that door and tell me who you are, will you?

Immer wenn ich selbst meien blog begutachte trifft mich fast der Schlag: mein Counter zeigt eine unglaubliche Zahl von Blogbesuchern an! Ich sags Euch ganz ehrlich: ich trau dem Ding nicht! Warum nicht, wollt Ihr wissen? Na ganz einfach: wie ist das möglich das so viele Leute meinen Blog ansehen und ich merk nix (oder viel mehr: nicht viel) von den vielen Besuchern hier?? Warum bekomme ich so wenig Kommentare??? Warum nimmt keiner Kontakt auf???? ich hab wirklich keine Ahnung! Eine Freundin hat neulich zu mir gesagt: Ich weiß immer nicht in welcher Sprache ich auf DEinen Blog einen Kommentar abgeben soll! Ist das etwa das Problem? Also ich möchte ganz fehrlich mit Euch sein: ich freu mich wirklich über JEDEN EINZELNEN Kommentar, ganz wurst im welcher Sprache! Was ich eigentlich schon die ganze Zeit versuche rüber zu bringen ist folgendes: Macht doch bitte die Tür auf und erzählt mir wer ihr seit, bitte, ja???

Ausflüge zu unseren Nachbarn, den Franzosen, zu machen und kleine Dörfer, gerade wie aus dem Museum zu entdecken?

And a Strawberry Cake to celebrate a 16th birthday?

So now I really have to speed up to get everything done minus one day.

Meine aller ersten Badebomben! Ich liebe sie...;-) Beduftet mit Lemon-Verbena und Lavendel ( die grünen) und mit BrownSugar and Fig ( die rosanen). Zwei davon ist für meine Nichte, die heute abend ihren 21sten Geburtstag feiern wird!

Just a quick one today: to bussy to blog right now...I have to many things going on and somethings are very demanding indeed!
- still working on the preparation of my new workshop in March in Biberauch, Germany
- both of my parents are beeing operated this month, dad already is in hospital, mum will be end of this month ( they dont live together so they do have their own partners to look after them!)
- on Sunday I will have a little show at my studio, showing my jewellry and hoping to sell some
- more visists at my in laws, friends coming over to stay with us, seeing friends....
- fighting with my migraine again
- working on the website for my hubby´s office
- writing a ton of articles for a friend, for the new "Just Stamps"
- trying to keep on top of my kids school cores and helping them, they both have a difficult year right now!
- Christmas is just around the corner....help!!! Nothing organizes so far!!

I probably forgot a ton of other things, too, but these are the most important ones right now, so please bare with me and I will be back to blogging as soon as I can...;-)

I got myself a new tool....finally! It was about high time! I have been holding myself back from buying it much too long: a stand for my drill. makes live so much easier when you are making beads!
Endlich habe ich mir ein neues Werkzeug gegönt: einen Bohrständer !!! Ich hab mir das schon viel zu lange verkniffen und nun mußte es endlich sein. Und es hat sich gelohnt!!! Es ist so viel einfacher die perlen vernünftig zu lochen wenn man das richtige Werkzeug hat!

And one of my new creation: Red Dragon! I plan on make more similar pieces of jewellry in a Mah Jong Series. This is the first one...;-)

Und hier noch ein neues Schmuckstück: Roter Drache! Ich möchte daraus eine Serie mit ähnlichen Stücken in einer Mah Jong Serie machen. Das ist das erste Stück diese Serie...;-)

...long time no blogging!

....much to long actually!!! We have been back from France for 10 days already, but I have been playing catch up since then... no time for blogging! But I will not do that anymore...I promise!

Ewig hab ich schon nicht mehr geblogged! Viel zu lange, denn seit 10 Tagen sind wir schon wieder aus Frankreich zurück, aber hier hat sich so viel angesammelt, das ich einfach keine Zeit hatte, schon gar nicht zum bloggen! Aber ich verspreche mich zu bessern!

We had a great time on our holidays, everything was different than planed ( our friends had been called home because there were some serious family problems ;-((( ), but it was wonderful never the less. But some things I missed!!! I love French Bread, BUT the first thing I made on coming home was bake my own:

Wir haden wunderbare Ferien, alles war anders alls geplant ( unsere Freund mußte wegen Familiären Problemen dringen nach Hause ;-(((( ), aber wir hatten eine großartige Zeit, trotz allem. Aber es gab auch Dinge die ich vermissed habe! I liebe französiches Brot, ABER als ich nach Hause gekommen bin, mußte ich trotzdem sofort ein eigenes Brot backen:

carving away

...as promised I want to show you some of the things I have done during my blogging absence...;-)

wie versprochen, möchte ich euch noch ein paar der Dinge zeigen, die ich im meiner Blog-Abstinenz zu Ende gebracht habe..;-)

I have been carving some new stamps finally!!! And I am so enjoying this!! Working on my supmission for the August Swapzine for the Carving Consortium... I have not done this for mush too long!
Endlich hab ich mal wieder ein paar neue Stempel geschitzt. Es macht einfach immer wieder wahnsinnig Spaß! Ein paar davon waren für meinen Beitrag zum August Swapzine des Carving Consortium ... ich hatte schon viel zu lange nicht mehr mitgemacht!

Tin Lizzy is not quite as I wanted it...too many little break aways!

Tin Lizzy is nicht ganz so wie ich es wollte, die kanten brechen einfach zu schnell aus!

I had this kitchen towel lying aground for some month now, and still did not finish the apron I wanted to sew...but now it it and I love it! And I had not been sewing for much too long, too...just phantastic!

Ich hatte mir das Küchentuch noch in Berlin besorgt und bin einfach nicht dazu gekommen, die entsprechende Schürze daraus zu nähen....aber sie ist wunderbar geworden! Und ich hatte so lange nicht mehr genäht...ach einfach herrlich!

Another former unfinished project: I had so many left over jarn that I wanted to make something out of them, and I wanted to make some granny square project. So the idea was born to make a pillow...;-))) And here it is....!! My DD loves it, too, so as soon as it was finished it disapeared in her room!

Noch ein ehemals unbeendetes Projekt: I hatte noch so viele Wollreste, das ich sie irgendwie verwerten wollte, und ich wollte schon immer mal was mir Granny Squares ( weiß jemand wie die in Deutsch heißen?) machen. Und so wurde die Idee geboren ein Kissen zu häckeln...;-)) Und da ist es nun! Meine Tochter hat sich gleich verliebt, sobald es nicht mehr an der Häckelnadel hing ist es in ihr Zimmer verschwunden!
