Happy Holidays to everyone!!

.... from tomorrow on the festive days start here in Germany! I guess there will not be much time online and so I want to wish everyone a really great time! I need to take a break and will be back in Januray! Take care everyone and see you in the new year!

Ab morgen gehts ja los mit den Feiertagen hier bei uns. Und ich werde sicher keine Zeit haben zwischendurch mal online zu sein. Daher möchte ich Euch allen jetzt schon wundervolle feiertage wünschen und ein glückliches Neues Jahr! Ich werde mir die zeitnehmen um meine Batterien wieder etwas aufzu laden und im Januar zurück sein! Passt alle gut auf Euch auf und wir sehen und im neuen Jahr!

the time before Christmas is flying!

Hope you are having lots of fun and great activities! I have been busy with making more Christmas presents ( my family is rather large!), baking, going to concerts ( my daughter was singing) and opera ( my daughters friend were acting), having more luck at the fleamarket and trying to calm down! I still have more baking, present making and possible skiing or ice scating, and of course getting out tree on the list ... I will not get bored until the holidays...;-))

Die Zeit bis Weihnachten fliegt nur so dahin! Meine auf jeden Fall? Wie ists bei Euch?

Ich hoffe ihr habt viel Spaß in der Vorweihnachtszeit und macht schöne Dinge. Ich war wieder fleissig am Backen, hab noch mehr Weihnachtsgeschenke fertig bekommen ( ich hab eine sehr große Familie!), war auf einem sehr schönen Konzert ( meine Tochter hat gesungen), in einer Oper ( wo Freunde meiner Tochter mitgespielt haben), war mal wieder sehr findig beim Flohmarkt und versuche immer noch ein bisschen runter zu kommen. ich werde noch ein bisschne was Backen, vielleicht zum Ski fahren oder zum Schlittschuh fahren gehen, und natürlich bald einen Baum besorgen...;-)) Mir wirds nicht langweilig werden bis zu den Feiertagen!

letting go of striving

do you know Patti Digh´s blog 37 days???Well I did not know it either... until a couple of weeks back. I put it in my reader and followed it. What a good move that was! I really enjoy her writing, but a couple of days ago she blew my mind with this post: Letting go of striving. This is just so me right now!!! I have come to a point, where I need to ajust some things in my live badly ... and I am taking care of it right now. BUT that also means I need to make time for adjusting and have to cut down on other things. Like blogging. I will do it when I feel like it and when I find the time for it, but no presure! Thats the last thing I need right now!
I am sure I will be back more often again, but right now this will be all I am willing to give...;-) I hope you will bear with me..;-)

„Christkindelsmärik“ in Strasbourg

This is what we did on the weekend: we went to the „Christkindelsmärik“ in Strasbourg, the oldest Christmas market (since 1570!) in Strasbourg, France. Enjoy!

invitation for two events - Einladung zu zwei Veranstaltungen

Today I got two invitations for you: one localy and one in Austria. 

On Saturday I will be at the" Adventsstimmung in Karlsruhe-Knielingen". It is like a little Christmas market with artists and crafters showing their trade, open shops and all kinds of special events and food for adults and kids. If you are near, I would love to meet you there! I will have a table and show some of my polymer clay work and also have some of my work for sale. From 3 till 8 pm.

Heute habe ich zwei Einladungen für Euch: eine gleich um die Ecke und eine in Österreich. 

Am Samstag werde ich bei der ersten Knielinger Adventsstimmung sein ( in Karlsruhe-Knielingen). Ein kleiner aber feiner Adventsmarkt, mit Kunsthandwerkern die zeigen wie sie arbeiten, offenen Türen bei etlichen Läden und speziellen Ereignissen für Erwachsene und Kinder ... und natürlich Essen und Trinken. Wenn ihr in der Nähe seit, würde ich mich freuen, wenn ihr vorbeikommt. Ich werde eine Tisch haben und Polymer Clay Vorführungen machen und natürlich auch einiges zum Verkauf anbieten.   Von 15 bis 20 Uhr.

The second event will be in March in Austria:

1. Polymer Clay Spectacle in Austria! 

I will be there and doing one of the Demos. Here is the Program:

• "From a perfect piece of jewellery to a perfect picture" - a two hour lecture/ speech by Roland Weber
• "Decorating snail shells" - Demo by Carina Feichtinger
• "Polymer Clay and Embossing Powder - What can I do with it, and how?" – Demo by Anke Humpert
• Show-and-Tell
• Pendant Swap (participation is optional)

It´s going to be faboulous and the spaces are limited ... go and reserve yours! Registration is open from today onwards.

Die zweite Veranstaltung wird im März in Österreich statt finden: 1. Polymer Clay Spektakel in Österreich. 

Ich werde dort sein und eine der Demos leiten. Hier ist, was geplant ist:

• 2 stündiger Fotovortrag "Vom perfekten Schmuckstück zum perfekten Foto" von Roland Weber
• Demo 
"Deko-Schneckenhäuser" von Carina Feichtinger
• Demo "Polymer Clay und Embossing Pulver - was kann ich damit machen und wie?" von Anke Humpert
• Show-and-Tell
• ein freiwilliger Anhänger Swap


Es wird sicher fantastisch werden ! Die Plätze sind limitiert, also meldet Euch gleich an, die Anmeldung ist ab heute geöffnet...;-) Ich würde mich freuen Euch dort zu treffen!

Meine diesjährige Kartoffelernte...klein, aber lecker!!!

Kerstin got me hocked on the spiral madness!! I have been claying with her and my other very best clay friend last weekend...and it was so good!! 

Kerstin hat mich mit ihren Spiralenfiber angesteckt! Letzes Wochenende war ich bei ihr und zusammen mit ihr und meinen anderen lieblingsclayfreundinen haben wir ein Clayday gehabt. War einfach super!

..once at home I started playing with this technique and it morphed into something else...;-))

Als ich dann zu Hause war hat sich die Technik verwandelt und plötzlich sind ganz andere Sachen entstanden...;-))

I will be very busy this week, so might not have time to write much! but I wish you all a great week!
