wrapping up 2012 and taking it slow!

First of all let me wish you all a very happy, healthy and creative New Year! I hope your holidays were great and you had a wonderful celebration to greet the New Year!

Zu aller erst möchte ich Euch allen natürlich eine fröhliches, gesundes und kreatives Neues Jahr wünschen! Ich hoffe ihr hattet schöne Feiertage und eine tolle Silvesterfeier!

I have been so busy in December and was really looking forward to take some down time over the holidays. But life not always gives you what you are hoping for and I felt very stressed in the last weeks of the old year. Mostly due to my own being over the top! Everthing was just too much! But, as I get older, I at least try to learn and so I promissed myself to slow down NOW! That is something that does not come easy to me, but I am working on it...;-))

Im Dezember war ich so beschäfftigt und ich hatte mich wirklich darauf gefreut über die Feiertage  mal langsam und entspannt zu machen. Aber im Leben kommt es nicht immer so wie man es gerne möchte, leider, und ich war ziemlich gestresst in den letzten Wochen des alten Jahres. Hauptsächlich weil ich selber so aufgedreht war und einfach nicht zu Ruhe gekommen bin! Es war einfach alles zu viel! Aber, man wird ja älter, und ich versuche zumindest aus meinen Fehlern zu lernen und daher hab ich mir selbst versprochen JETZT langsam zu machen und zu entspannen. Das ist nicht leicht für mich, aber ich arbeite daran....;-))

Anyway tomorrow school starts again, the news from Australia are getting better and the holidays are finally over. So its time to get back to bussiness as usual .... and I am really enjoying it! I finally found the time to get my new calenders out, think about what will come up and what got finished with the old year. Lovely time of reflextion!

Wie auch immer, morgen fängt die Schule wieder an, die Neuigkeiten aus Australien werden auch langsam besser und die Feiertage sind jetzt definitiv vorbei. Es wird Zeit, dass der Alltag wieder einkehrt... und ich freue mich richtig darauf! Ich hab endlich die Zeit gefunden meine neue Kalender raus zu holen, darüber nach zudenken, was jetzt so alles ansteht und was mit dem alten Jahr beendet wurde. Ich liebe die Zeit der Reflektion!

I closed my survey for the Synergy 3 and now I will work on the last links and get the collected pictures in a decend form. Still a lot to do, but I can do it in my time, which is very good.
The "52 earrings challenge" and the "club 52", which I also moderated for Polyclaykunst.de, have come to an end. And I am proud and happy, that I have done it! You can see all the earrings I have made during the last year in the pictures! Great to see them all together at last. 
I was really tempted to start another challenge, but this is deffinitly not the time right now! There are still so many other things, that need to be finished, before I can jump into a new challenge. And this time I will stick with it! So I guess my challenge for 2013 is to finish all the things, I already started, and say "no" to new projects until I really have the time and space for it!

Ich habe nun die Umfrage für die Synergy 3 geschlossen und werde jetzt an den Links und den gesammelten Bildern arbeiten. Immer noch ziemlich viel zu tun, aber ich kann es jetzt in meinem eigenen Tempo tun, das ist schon mal sehr gut! Die "52 earrings challenge" und der "Club 52", denn ich für Polyclaykunst.de moderiert hatte, sind beendet. Und ich bin froh und auch stolz, das ich es geschafft habe! Die vielen Ohrringe, die ich im Laufe des Jahres gemacht habe, sind in den Bilder gezeigt. Und es ist wunderbar sie alle zusammen zu sehen!
Ich bin schon fast wieder der Versuchung erlegen, eine neue Challenge zu beginnen, aber es ist momentan wirklich nicht die richtige Zeit für mich! Ich habe immer noch so viele andere Dinge, die erst fertig gestellt werden wollen, bevor ich mich auf neue Dinge stürze. Und diesmal werde ich mich auch daran halten! Ich glaube meine Herausforderung für 2013 wird es sein, mich auf das zu konzentrieren, was ich angefangen habe und und zu neuen Dingen "Nein" zu sagen, bis ich wirklich Zeit und Raum für Neues habe!

The first video is about how to make a  beet cake (Sounds a bit odd, but I am sure it will taste delicious. Please tell me when you have tried it out, okay?). This is divine!! I have never ever seen a more pleasingly presented recipe!
Das erste Video zeigt wie man einen Rote Beete Kuchen bäckt (ich weiß hört sich merkwürdig an, aber ich glaube der schmeckt sogar extrem lecker! Wers ausprobiert hat bitte melden, ja?). Es ist einfach göttlich!! Ich hab noch niemals zuvor ein Rezept in so ansprechneder Weise präsentiert bekommen!!

Since we are talking about health issues (a big thing for me right now!), one other thing to think about is sitting! We all do it, often all day long ... and it is really bad for you!

...busy, busy, busy...;-))

I have been really bussy. I even got some things done on the weekend! That is not normally the case! But this weekend my DD was at another birthday party and my man had to work in the office. So what is a girl to do? Right craft along...;-)) So I finished my new stamp collection and listed it in the Shop, I finished my lace scarf, feels so good to have one more big project done, AND I can wear it on my birthday...;-)

Ich war echt schwer beschäftigt in den letzten Tagen. Ich hab sogar am Wochenende einiges geschafft. Das ist wirklich die Ausnahme! Diese Wochenende war meine Tochter zu einer weiteren Geburtstagsparty eingeladen und mein Mann mußte ins Büro. Was soll man da schon machen, ausser einige Dinge fertig zu machen...*grins* Also habe ich meine neue Stempel Collection fertig geschnitzt und im Shop gelistet, meinen Spitzenschal fertig gehäckelt ...und es fühlt sich echt gut an, noch ein weiteres großen Projekt beendet zu haben, UND ich kann ihn sogar an meinem Geburtstag ausführen...;-))

I have even done a big step in one other project, I had on my mind for quite a while now. It is not completted, but all the sewing is done. I can only show you small details, since it is still not finished, but I am so happy I got this far....;-)) Any idea what it is?
Ich habe sogar einen großen Forschritt bei einem weiten Projekt gemacht, das ich schon die ganze Zeit in meinem Hinterkopf hatte. Es ist noch nicht komplett fertig, aber die Näharbeiten sind erledigt. Ich zeige Euch nur ein paar kleine Teile davon, denn es ist ja noch nicht ganz fertig, aber ich bin schon sehr froh, das ich es soweit geschafft habe...;-)) Hab Ihr eine Ahnung was es sein könnte?

..on my desk

 ...I am still not feeling to good, but life goes on and I am getting restless. Especially since I know that some deadlines are coming closer. So I do have some things on my desk this week:
some new polymer clay from Premo. Premo got new colors in their program and they asked us (polyclaykunst.de) if we would like to make some modles for the trade show in Frankfurt. Of course we did....! Here is the colors, I got to work with: Challenging!
Ich fühle mich immer noch nicht richtig gut, aber das Leben geht weiter und ich werde langsam unruhig. Ganz besonders da ich ja weiß, es kommen wieder einige Termine auf mich zu. Und daher ist mein Tisch auch nicht leer -  das liegt diesmal drauf:  Polymer Clay vom Premo. Premo hat neue Farben in Program und wir (polyclaykunst.de) wurden gefragt, ob wir nicht einige Modelstücke für die Messe in Frankfurt machen möchten. Klar wollten wir das machen....! Und hier sind die Fraben die ich bekommen habe: eine Herausforderung!

Sometimes I need to do something complettly different...;-) Like taking up the hook and doing some crochet. And adding some color to my life. ( Pattern here)
Manchmal muß ich einfach mal was ganz anderes machen. Wie zum Beispiel eine Nadel in die Hand nehmen und häckeln. Und ein bisschen Farbe in mein Leben bringen. ( das Muster gibts hier)

I just could not leve this pattern leave alone! (Sorry, I lost the link!) But white is just not my color, black is....;-)) And this is easier than it looks!
Dieses Muster hat mich einfach nicht in Ruhe gelassen! (Der Link ist grade "Verschunden" ;-(( ) Aber Weiß ist nicht so meine Farbe, aber Schwarz...;-)) Und es ist viel einfacher als es aussieht!
