so much fun

at the 2nd Polyclaykunst Spektakel in Wiesbaden! It was great to see everyone, play games, wake up everyones Muse and see wonderful demos! On Saturday evening we had our usual swap and raffel night! This time we swapped book marks! The red ones at the top are the ones I made, and the (funnily!) mostly gree-blue ones, are the ones I got in exchange. They were made by Sandra, Andrea, Filiz and Britta. Thank you so much for them, I really love them! ;-))

Wir hatten so viel Spaß beim 2. Polyclaykunst Spektakel in Wiesbaden! Es war toll alle wieder zu sehen, Spiele zu spielen, die Musen auf zu wecken und natürlich die tollen Demos zu sehen! Am Samstag hatten wir unseren traditionellen Swap und Verlose-Abend. Dieses Mal hatten wir uns für Lesezeichen entschieden. Die rötllichen oben im Bild sind diejenigen, die ich gemacht hatte und die blau-grünlichen unten im Bild sind diejenigen, die ich im Tausch dafür bekommen habe. Sie sind von Sandra, Andrea, Filiz und Britta gemacht worden. Vielen dank noch mal dafür! Ich bin ganz begeistert von den Schönheiten...;-))

The highlight was, of course, the raffle of the bead strand and this time it exceptionally beautiful, for sure! Britta was the winner and it was very emotional, also a tradition...;-))
Time was flying by and before we realized it, the weekend was over again and we all had to go home. Sad, but I think the next event is only a question of time....;-)) Well actually my next event starts tomorrow: I am off to Antwerp, Belgium, tomorrow!
Das Highlight des Abends war natürlich die Verlosung des Perlenstrangs und dieses mal war er auch wirklich ausergewöhnlich schön! Britta war die glückliche Gewinnerin und, auch wie üblich, war es sehr emotional ...;-))
Die Zeit vergeht im Flug, wenn man Spaß hat, und bevor man sich versieht, ist das Wochenende schon wieder vorbei. Traurig, aber das nächste Event ist ja nur eine Frage der Zeit....;-)) Um genau zu sein, für mich eigentlich gar nicht, den morgen geht das nächste Ereigniss für mich los: ich bin dann mal auf dem Weg nach Antwerpen...;-)

Bead Soup arrived...!!!

... on both sides of the big water, luckly...;-)) Barbe just send me a message, that the bead soup I made for her has arrived today. The one I got from her arrived two days ago .... and what can I say!!! I was complettly overwhelmed! Barbe has been really generous and put some lovely things together. The bead soup itself is quite something, but then she also added extras to it as well ...wohhh!!! Can you believe that? I have been really spoiled! Thank you soooooo much, dear Barbe!

This is the "offical" bead soup...wonderful clasp, georgeous little book focal and a whole lot of beads and components in copper and turquoise.....she has been studying my favourites very well, indeed!!! ;-))

...and here are the extras, too!! Susan Lenart Kazmer things and another "A" and a mushroom pendant, numbers and really cool metal components....wooooh!!! And everything was wraped very nicely ( I was to inpatiened to take a picture of the packed gift!) and tied with Sari silk....I mean it! Barbe really spoiled me, lots!
Just for the records, I will also show you what I sent out to Barbe, for her bead soup to enjoy...;-))

I have made a heart pendant ( the one on the left) and a heart clousure and matching beads and components. All is made of polymer clay. I also made some extras and added them to the soup, here is the complette pack I sent out:

Cant wait to see what she will make with the bead soup...;-)) Our reveal date is the 11th of August! So stay tuned and watch what we will make with our bead soups...;-))
BTW: I am still extremly busy right now, but I hope next week everthing will slow down a bit and hopefull I will have a bit more time for play and blogging again!

Bead Soup Block Party

....I did it!! I joined the Lori Anderson´s Bead Soup Block Party this time!!! There are over 300 participants and we are going to have a blast!

...whats that??? Two posts in three days??? I must be getting back in the mood for blogging!!! Yesterday we had the first sunny day since, I cant even remember since when.....! Look what a bit of sunshine can do to me: I have a ton of eye candy to show you!!
First of all I want to show you mine find, that I have promised you! In Germany we do have (in some cities) days when you can put your bulk waste on the road in front of your house and the next day it gets collected by the garbage removers from the town, This however is a good opportunity for all kind of treasure hunters to find things before BEFORE they get collected....
and these are the treasures I found..



I am thinking about revamping the chair and the suitcase a bit... How about some polkat dots, maybe??? We will see!
My poppies are so lovely, and each day a new one opens up! Cant take my eyes off them!
This orange is almost translucent!!! What a color!!!

.....I also started a new crafty project: I wanted to find some good use for some of my leftover yarns, and I always wanted to make something with granny squares. So I took out my box of yarn and started. I will have to see how far my leftovers go and then decide, WHAT it actually is going to be...LOL

AND I made some new ATCs!!! Seams like ages, since I made the last ones!!! I am really happy about it, since I had a couple I needed to sent for a trade, and I really like the outcome of those new sets!!!

...we are back

but I feel really awful. I caught something and I hope it will not stay with me for long!!! My head is cloudy, running nose and heavy limbs.....awweee
So today I just will show you some pictures and go back to bed..especially since the night will be one hour shorter...hate that!!!

Sometimes its good when you are away, because when you come back you find some mail love waiting for you: stamps I had ordered, since I fell in love with them on the Scrap-a-licious week end, postcard from a friend, and ATC from THE Kristina Contes and a wonderful birthday card and a stamp rubber from a dear friend in Canada...;-)

pink love in the mail...;-)))

today I got some pink love in the mail.....sooo happy that one of the things I have been waiting for finally arrived!!! It was my colorific-swap-o-rama packet from Icklemissus in England...she must have been studying me really well!!! Everything is just perfect!! Thank you so much!!!
Got another layout finished today, too! I have been wanting to do this for quite a while, but there was so many other things that I did not find the peace to actually make it....but I am so clad I did make it today!!! It has turned out quite a bit different that I had planned, but never the less I looove it!!!...;-)
...thats it for now, got to go back to the kitchen to get some cookies baked...;-)

.....buuuhhh!!!

...I am so glad I got my coloriffic swaporama packet out today!!! I have been coleccting things, but I had hardly had any time for my handmade items. So I got it to the postoffice today..LAST day!!! But just in time...;-) The lady at the post office told me it will not get to were it goes before Christmas...can you believe that??? I mean it nearly 3 week...!!!
Have been busy again...doctors appointments, bank appointments, nearly found a great apartment and the it suddenly was gone.... it seams to be more difficult that I thought at first!
Tonight is Saint Nikolaus Night in Germany: all kids have to clean their boots and put them outside of the front door over night. When they have been good they get sweets a little presents, when they were not so good they get a birch ( which is full on sweets to...;-) ). For us this is a funny thing anyhow, becaus my DH is called Nicolaus and so its his names day and his patron saint. So in our house it the wive of Saint Nikolaus, that brings the sweets!!! ;-)) I found two absolutely perfect books fro the kids and my mum sent sweets ( I think) I am not allowed to open the packet before tomorrow morning, too...;-) I can t wait to see my kids faces when they find the books: They are nice books, but they also remind them of some things they wer not so good with...( in a nice way of course!)

mail surprises and sneak revealed!

On Saturday and Monday I had some lovely mail surprises in my mail box: Hagit´s RAK arrived on Saturday and she was oh so generous!! All the papers and bits on pieces on the right are from her!!! And she did send me some very cool stuff!!
Yesterday I had a lovely letter from sweet Brigitte from Canada. We had traded some ATCs, but she also send a wonderful envy and some rub ons from paperWERX. I have been in love with their stuff since I have first seen it, but it is not so easy to come by, since the shiping is just horrendous!!

And here is another layout I had made some time back. I had made it for the Hambly Guest DT Challenge and now the gallery is up. Dina won the challenge and, since I am admiring her work a lot, I can only follow that desicion...;-) Congratulations to you, Dina!!!
And I am not surprised to find familiar names under the favourites and in the gallery too!!! LOL...seams we are a ll a big family!!

Organizing and Canadian Day

I have been a real lame blogger lately!!! Not that there would not be anything to tell...sometimes I am just overwhelmed with everything!!! I caught a really nasty cold, too. I have been hanging around with it for nearly ten days now, but it is finally getting better.I am still in the middle of organizing my studio and live. This was one of the promises I made myself for 2007. I have done quite a bit already, but there is still a lot more to do!!! I managed some of the aweful paperwork, that has been lying around for far to long and that felt so great!!! I also promised myself not to take on any new projects, before I would be done with everything I had put on for too long. I could not keep that for very long....in fact every time I do that, there are new projects popping up everywere, that I just can not ignore!!! I will also not do so many colaborative projects , or projects that need to be send anywere anymore. German post costs are just killing me!!! I have spend so much money on sending stuff in the last year, I have to reduce it! I also have been working on a couple of things I can not show right now.....but later I do hope so...;-)Yesterday definitly was a Canadian day for me: I got a wonderful package from Emily from Canada ( in the first picture). Tons of wonderful handmade and Asian paper, little tresurea of all kinds and the best of all a book I had been craving to get for ages!!! I do not klnow how she figured that out, but it was such a wonderful surprise!!!Late in the evening I also had a phone call from one of my best friends, who is living in Canada since ages. She told me about the birth of her fourth child. Her name is Mira and she was born on 13th January!! Congratulations Deborah!!!!! Cant wait to see some pictures!!!Another thing I am really looking forward to is Saturday: I will go to Hamburg ( havent been there for ages!!!) and meet some of my newly aquired friends....and talk about my newest craze - scrapbooking! Cant wait to see you all!!! Even if I have to get up really early that day!!!
